Knighton Before Christmas: A Gingerbread-Building Charity Event Supporting HomeAid Utah

Knighton Architecture, alongside our partners and community, proudly hosted The Knighton Before Christmas, a festive gingerbread-building charity event in support of HomeAid Utah. Designed to bring together families, colleagues, and friends, the evening blended creativity, connection, and purpose—raising awareness and funds for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.

Event Inspiration

Rooted in the spirit of the holiday season, the event was created as a meaningful way to celebrate creativity while giving back. Gingerbread building served as the centerpiece activity, encouraging friendly competition, teamwork, and imagination across all ages. The event reflected Knighton Architecture’s belief that design—at any scale—has the power to bring people together.

Community, Creativity, and Giving

Participants gathered to design and construct gingerbread creations while enjoying food, hot chocolate, and a welcoming atmosphere. The gingerbread competition offered an engaging way to support HomeAid Utah, with entry fees donated directly to the organization. Additional opportunities to contribute throughout the evening further strengthened the collective impact of the event.

Competition and Celebration

The gingerbread competition showcased impressive creativity and craftsmanship, with competitors recognized through a variety of curated prizes. The energy of the evening was fueled not only by the competition itself, but by shared laughter, collaboration, and the joy of celebrating the season together.

Collaboration and Support

The success of The Knighton Before Christmas was made possible through the generosity of participants, donors, and supporters who contributed prizes, time, and resources. Their involvement helped transform a festive gathering into a meaningful charitable effort with lasting impact.

A Commitment to Community

Events like this reflect Knighton Architecture’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. By supporting organizations like HomeAid Utah, we aim to extend our impact beyond the built environment and contribute to initiatives that strengthen and uplift our region.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us, competed, donated, and helped make The Knighton Before Christmas a memorable and impactful event. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities where design, community, and purpose come together.
